3 Beautiful Girls

About three month ago, a good friend of ours phoned from South Africa to say that one of her team had suffered a tragedy. His house and most of his worldly possessions were burnt to the ground, leaving him and his little family of three young girls out on the street.

Jose now faced a sickening dilemma, remove his children from school in order to be able afford somewhere safe for them to live, or keep their education going and run the gauntlet of housing his family in one of the slums.

By helping Jose and his family get a new start, with a home to build a family in, we could keep Ora, Angelica and Diorga in school.  Who needs better motivation than that!?

Mash kicked off contributions with a £2,000 deposit in our quest to reach the £10,000 target, with further donations from friends and family, and our wonderful friend Ruth making an incredible effort to raise the majority of the funds from friends in South Africa.

As a result, three months after staring forlornly at the smouldering ruins of their home, Jose and his beautiful girls are now happily ensconced in a new home, befit with new linen, clothes, fridge, stove, sewing machine (for Jose’ work) and their first ever bathroom.
