What a brilliant summer this has been with the UK hosting nationalities from around the world; not only do we get the honour of taking care of our guests, but it reminds us just how great of a place this is to be!

Whilst we celebrate all that is good here at home, however, we must keep in mind that not everyone is quite so lucky. Sok Ky, from the Kandal Province in Cambodia, is a married woman with three kids – all good so far – but unfortunately their combined income as a family accumulates to only $16 a day between their jobs of fishing and working in a garment factory. As she dreams of sending the youngest to university to give him a future outside the village, Sok Ky has requested assistance in buying fishing tools for her husband in order to expand the business.

Mash has happily provided the bulk of the loan through Kiva to Sok Ky and her family, with the hope that it helps her develop her entrepreneurial skills and give her family a brighter future.
