KIVA:: November Entrepreneur

The time has come again for Mash's entrepreneur of the month and this time, we've chosen to support Quita V. from New Kru Town in DRC. Quita started out her little shop by selling soft drink in the front yard, using a loan from her husband. Three years later and she struck gold of her own by realising she could profit as the only alcohol supplier in New Kru, growing her home-front stand into an independent shop.

The time has come again for Mash’s entrepreneur of the month and this time, we’ve chosen to support Quita V. from New Kru Town in DRC. Quita started out her little shop by selling soft drink in the front yard, using a loan from her husband. Three years later and she struck gold of her own by realising she could profit as the only alcohol supplier in New Kru, growing her home-front stand into an independent shop.

Quita will be using our loan – that’s you and Mash, don’t forget – to buy more alcoholic drinks including the grandly titled Black Horses and Godfather. With the profits of these sales, she’ll be putting the money towards the future by investing in her kids’ education and tucking some away in her savings account.
