The Mash Mini Vision Day 2013

Back in November, the Mash team headed out of the office for a day to have a think about the year ahead. Never ones to let a good thing go, this week we took part in round two: a Mini Vision Day to go through what we’re aiming to do and be over the next 12 months.

Back in November, the Mash team headed out of the office for a day to have a think about the year ahead. Never ones to let a good thing go, this week we took part in round two: a Mini Vision Day to go through what we’re aiming to do and be over the next 12 months.

Not only was this a morning billed to have aspirational ideas, grand plans and inspiring speeches from the team… There were also free toasties and juice. If you’re ever looking to motivate the Mash office team, that’s a pretty great place to start.

Back to the non-edible stuff, though, we discussed a number of things that should make things even better for both our Mashers and our partners over the next year – things which, we hope, you’ll be behind as much as we are here in the office.

We reckon we’ve got the best people in the industry: people who are dedicated, hard-working, and who always have a great attitude, rain or shine. They’re not just in London, but across the country and further afield – and while some of them are new to our books, some of you have been coming back, year after year, to share in our success.

That’s why – as you may have noticed if you’ve taken a look at our brand spanking new website – we’re now shouting from the rooftops the fact that “We Love Our People – You Will Too!”

This isn’t something we’ve just plucked from the air – quite the opposite, in fact. Take a look at our very first print ad:

Look familiar?

We’re really keen to return to that – although the eagle-eyed among you might notice the change from ‘staff’ to ‘people,’ because we reckon that’s more in line with what we’re about. Call us hippies, but we’ve been doing this a long time now – and our love for what we do, who we are, and the people we get to work with at all levels, has been absolutely at the heart of our success.

So 2013, for Mash, is about really showing that. It’s about getting out there and sharing the love. And it’s about helping our Mashers to become better and better, to help them make the very most of their skills in the field. Our revamped MEMA (Mash Event Manager Accreditation) course will be running twice this year, to help the crème de la crème of the Mash community to become even better Event Managers – and our forthcoming Mash Hangouts are going to be a great opportunity for us to meet those of you outside of the Big Smoke, and raise a glass to the great work you do all over the country.

Frankly – we can’t wait.
